New Industry Rates for 2023 through to 2024
Small ship cruising with maximum 130 passengers.
Leave the tourist trail behind and experience the ‘real Fiji’ on a Captain Cook Cruises adventure and discovery small ship cruise. Visit places where larger cruise ships simply can’t venture and discover the stunning natural beauty of Fiji and the amazing cultures of its people.
Combining both the 3 & 4 day tours of the Mamamuca and Yasawa Islands, the 7 & 11 night tour will give you access to the most breathtaking scenery and cultural experiences that the region has to offer. From Monuriki Island, where the Tom Hanks movie ‘Castaway’ was filmed, to the exclusive trip to The Narokorokoyawa or Sacred Islands where you will experience a Sevusevu (gift giving) ceremony, there is something for everyone on this cruise.
The Mamanucas and Yasawa Islands are a chain of beautiful palm-fringed islands with perfect white sandy beaches, placid lagoons and picturesque resorts. Thankfully, though, the islands remain remarkably undeveloped – no building rises higher than a coconut palm and even on the most popular islands it’s possible to wander a short distance to find a secluded stretch of beach. The focus is on relaxation.

You’ll also visit our own private island of Tivua, where you can snorkel through pristine coral gardens right off the beach, Sawa-i-lau with its famous limestone caves and blue lagoon and Naviti Island, where you’ll enjoy a traditional Fijian feast, lovo and cultural ceremony. As a special extra cruise inclusion, guests will also be offered the choice of a complimentary tour to the Sabeto Mud Baths or the Orchid Garden of the Sleeping Giant.
And after every shore excursion, you’ll return to relax in style aboard MV Reef Endeavour, where you’ll enjoy fully catered meals combining international and Fijian flavours served against a backdrop of spectacular scenery. DISCOVER A FIJI RARELY SEEN BY TOURISTS
If you want to experience the real Fiji, join us on MV Reef Endeavour as we explore the Lau Islands and Kadavu; a beautiful and remote region rarely seen by tourists. A visit to this region offers a once in a lifetime experience to a select few travellers, visiting turquoise bays and remote villages where they only see a supply boat once a month.
Cruise highlights include a swim at a waterfall, exploring old ruins, snorkelling untouched reefs and getting up close with nesting turtles. You’ll also explore the caves, reefs and lagoons of Qilaqila renowned for its mushroom-shaped islands, and the central lake on uninhabited Vuaqava island where you’ll find turtles, snakes and amazing bird life. Best of all, you’ll be welcomed and entertained by the friendly people of this region and experience a traditional Meke, Sevusevu and lovo quite different from the traditional Fijian feast.
The Lau Island Group consists of 57 islets, of which only 30 are inhabited and if you enjoy getting off the beaten track these islands are for you, with no public transport or restaurants to be found. The Kadavu Group is made up of four main islands, of which Kadavu is the largest. It is home to the Great Astrolabe Reef, one of the world’s largest barrier reefs and a renowned site for premier diving.
Most days offer the opportunity to snorkel, swim and scuba dive the pristine waters of these beautiful islands and when you’re not experiencing all that they have to offer, you’ll enjoy the relaxing hospitality aboard the MV Reef Endeavour. Here you’ll be pampered with most of the luxuries found on larger cruise liners including fully catered buffet and 3-course meals prepared fresh daily onboard, a freshwater swimming pool, jacuzzi, day spa, cocktail bar and much more.
A REMOTE NORTHERN ISLANDS ADVENTURE
Join MV Reef Endeavour for a journey of discovery, as we cruise around the north of Yasawa and visit Pacific jewels like the famous Sawa-i-lau limestone cave and blue lagoon. This 4 night cruise is perfect for those who have limited time, but want a slightly longer break than 3 nights.
You’ll cruise to our privately owned Tivua island and spend time exploring the beaches and coral reef and if diving is your passion, there’s also a new wreck, Raiyawa to explore. You’ll see many beautiful beaches along the way including Drawaqa Bay and Yaqeta Beach and the pinnacle of our cruise is a visit to the world famous Sawa-i-lau aquamarine limestone lagoon, which featured in the 1980 movie ‘Blue Lagoon’.
There are 16 islands in the Yasawa island group, which stretches for a total distance of 90 kilometres and because they were formed by volcanic activity, they are more rugged than other Fijian islands and are renowned for their pristine natural beauty.
The Yasawa’s people are also unique and you’ll experience the best of Fijian culture on this cruise with a feast and cultural performance at Gunu, a visit to a school, village and shell market at Matacawalevu and a spot of crab racing at Sawa-I-Lau.
And after experiencing daily shore visits such as these, you’ll return to the luxury of MV Reef Endeavour, where you’ll enjoy all the amenities of a larger cruise liner including fully catered buffets and 3-course meals, massage services, cocktail bar, jacuzzi, gym and swimming pool.
Our 4 night Mamanuca & Northern Yasawa Islands small ship adventure is perfect for those with busy lives who still want enough time to escape and unwind. It’s ideal for singles, couples and families and cruises depart 12pm Tuesdays and return 9am Saturdays at Port Denarau Marina in Nadi.
